How much does shipping cost?

We have managed to move shipping on to UPS and still maintain our normal rates, although the out of zone surcharges vary with UPS, so these may change for rural/remote areas. Additionally, with postal load moving largely to FedEx and being overloaded, we have had to temporarily remove our FedEx Express service as we don't believe it to be reliable right now.

Metalbird uses both Canada Post and Fedex to ship. Please note that we charge less than it costs us on average to ship to you.

* Canada Post: our "Standard" service, rated by Province, from $12.99 through to $19.99.

* Fedex: our expedited service, on average faster and with a high reliability of delivery in 1-3 days. This cost has increased substantially over the past 18 months, and while we try to minimise this cost for our customers, we have to pass on most of what we are charged (we still absorb some of the actual cost for you).

Fedex In-Zone charging starts from $14.99

Fedex Out-Of-Zone charging (per the postal code list in the "Shipping and Returns" menu) starts from $29.99, while the zones listed in the "Shipping & Returns" menu as RED are set to $100 by default - for RED zones, please contact our customer services to see if we can get a better rate.
